Northern Noir

The digital pulse of minneapolis

A digital archive about underground artists

A quarterly digital magazine spotlighting artists who may not reach the front pages of mainstream media, but are shaping the lens through which we experience reality. We uplift emerging artists and artists who have been in the game for a while to document the creative community and build a narrative that reflects us.

Through interviews, editorials, visual storytelling, event coverage, and community features, Northern Noir documents the energy of Minneapolis from an insider perspective. Both a platform and an archive, these pages aim to serve and honor the creative community by taking a closer look and asking the questions that usually go unasked.

Have a story? Know somebody? Leave it all in the box and we’ll get back to you soon.

Inside warehouses, coffee shops, studios, kitchens, gallery openings, late-night DJ sets, and neighborhood pop-ups — the city continues to reinvent itself through the people building within it. This magazine exists to document that movement.

We spotlight the artists, chefs, DJs, writers, photographers, designers, and independent creatives shaping the local scene in real time. Not just the finished work, but the process behind it.
